In May 2017, I was asked by South Essex College to share my experience as a Photographer to Media students. I met Anna who was studying Creative Media Production and for her to gain experience she offered to film behind the scenes during one of my creative photoshoots, which I could then edit for my marketing and also share on YouTube.
Since then we have worked together on many shoots and Anna has always been an important member of the team. She is reliable, with great time keeping and professional in her approach. More importantly, she has always fitted in and worked well with everyone on set and has helped made the models and makeup artists feel relaxed in front of the camera.
Anna is not afraid to ask for advice or help if she needs it and has always created great footage which I have been able to use. She has a great eye when framing a shot and captures enough footage from different angles to tell an interesting story.
Because of the current situation we haven’t worked together for a little while but I’m looking forward to working with Anna again as soon as possible as I’m certain she has gained a lot more experience during her time at University and I’m confident she has a great future ahead of her working in Film, TV and Media.

Anouska and her group were some of the most professional non-professionals we ever got to work with! Before we even had our first meeting, we were encouraged to dig deep on our inspirations and emotional influences for the song we were working on so that by the time we did meet, there were already ideas from them that we were bouncing around and didn’t have any uncomfortable questions fired at us on the spot.
Although the pandemic meant that we couldn’t proceed with the music video as planned, Anouska still managed to film some parts herself and make something up with we really enjoyed and were very impressed with considering the circumstances! We’ve have asked Anouska if she would still be willing to work with us on a music video once lockdown is over (even though we know the uni course will probably be over by then) because from what we saw from her in regards to preparation and pre-production, her professionalism, level of care for client and project and - above all - creativity is unparalleled!
